Market Share continued undefeated today in setting a 1:58.4 record winning the $25,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Green Acres Championship for two-year-old trotting colts at Freehold Raceway.
The son of Revenue led from start to finish to win by 6 1/2 lengths over Map Of Hawaii (Chocolatier). Markz Moose (Classic Photo) was third.
Jeff Gregory drove Market Share for trainer Linda Toscano and co-owners Richard Gutnick of Blue Bell, PA, and Gary Cocco of New Town Square, PA.
The freshman trotter registered his fourth consecutive victory in as many starts, all in the Sire Stakes Green Acres racing program. His 1:58.4 clocking erased the previous Green Acres mark of 1:59.2 by Lou’s Legacy in 2008. The $12,500 winer’s share of the purse boosted the colt’s earnings to $23,750 this year.
