Quick Deal, in a repeat performance from his 2-year-old career last year, won the $25,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Green Acres Final for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings today at Freehold Raceway.
With Jim Meittinis driving, the gelded son of Revenue led from start to finish, hitting the wire in 1:57.4. Quick Deal had won the NJSS Green Acres final for freshman trotters in 2010.
It was an easy victory for Quick Deal, who won by seven and a quarter lengths over Aladin AS (Chocolatier). Mr. Jim Dandy (Classic Photo) finished third. The quarter-mile fractions were 29.1, 58.2 and 1:27.4.
With the $12,500 winner’s share of the purse, Quick Deal has now earned $33,775 in 2011 and $65,060 for his career for trainer Tyler Raymer of New Ringgold, Pa, who co-owns the gelding with the Cappy Stable of Bronxville, NY.
