Freehold to feature 1 1/2 mile Trot on Open Space Pace Day

Freehold, NJ—- On Saturday (Sept. 19) the Open Space Pace will be coming back to Freehold Raceway in Freehold, N.J., for its fourth annual event.
The Open Space Pace is a non-profit organization with a mission to celebrate the horse, New Jersey’s official state animal, and to promote open space in our nation’s most densely populated state, the great state of New Jersey. The Open Space Pace raises funds in support of non-profit organizations that promote open space in New Jersey.
Freehold Raceway is featuring a Preferred Trot on the card with a distance of 1-1/2 miles. The estimated purse is $25,000 and was funded by a group of New Jersey based trainers and owners along with Freehold Raceway.
The conditions for the race are highest money earners in 2015 and it will be drawn on Wednesday (Sept. 16) at 9 a.m.
