Marohn Wins Six at Freehold Friday

For the fifth day in a row, a driver won at least four races at Freehold Raceway on Friday (December 11). Jim Marohn Jr did two better, as he won six races on the 11-race program.
Marohn did his best work on the front end. Five of his winners were in gate-to-wire style. He scored with Live and Let Di in race 2, for trainer Scott DiDomenico, Rossini in the 7th race for trainer Lucas Wallin, Vintage Gal in the eighth race for trainer Brandon Mongiello, Maggnifispin in race 9, AP Emily’s Dance in race 11, the latter two for Paul Fusco. Marohn also won race 6 with Don Maiorano’s Latoka, keeping him in the pocket and powering up the passing lane in the stretch.
Fusco had a training hat trick on the card. In addition to his wins with Marohn, he won race 6 with Fear My Shadow. Jim Marshall III was the winning driver on that one.
For Marohn, he’s now won 39 races on the calendar year at Freehold from 169 starts.That’s good for seventh in the driver standings. His winning percentage of 23% is the second-most among drivers with at least 100 drives at Freehold this year.
